A disturbing missing child case in Brooklyn has taken a chilling turn after police say a K9 unit detected human blood near a refrigerator inside the boy’s family apartment.
The 11-year-old boy, who is autistic, was reported missing from his home on Howard Avenue near Sutter Avenue in Brownsville. Neighbors told authorities they hadn’t seen him in weeks, prompting city caseworkers from the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) to conduct a wellness check on September 25.
When they knocked, the boy’s mother answered the door. Sources say she refused to provide his birth certificate but otherwise appeared cooperative. Inside, investigators noticed no signs of a child living in the apartment.
On Wednesday, ACS workers returned with NYPD officers. This time, the boy’s mother allegedly snapped, insisting she never had a child and lived alone. Detectives brought in a police dog, which alerted to traces of human blood in or around the refrigerator, sources said.
Despite the discovery, police confirmed the boy was not found in the apartment. His mother has since been hospitalized as an “emotionally disturbed person” but, as of Friday, had not been criminally charged.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to uncover what happened to the missing child.

Too late…she may internalize what she did and never tell anyone what happened to her son…until the reality of it burns her up from the inside out! So very SAD…
