Disgraced royal Prince Andrew is reportedly unraveling behind palace gates — and insiders say he’s clinging to a deeply unusual source of comfort as pressure mounts over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
Sources claim the 65-year-old former duke has become increasingly dependent on an extensive collection of stuffed teddy bears, treating them as emotional lifelines while lamenting his dramatic fall from grace.
According to insiders, Andrew has always been particular about his plush toys, but his fixation has intensified. “He’s convinced someone is out to steal them,” one source said. “No one is allowed to touch them unless he trusts them completely.”
The odd behavior comes as Andrew’s world continues to shrink. As previously reported, King Charles III ordered his brother to vacate Royal Lodge near Windsor Castle, effectively severing one of Andrew’s last visible ties to royal privilege. The move followed renewed public backlash over Andrew’s long-scrutinized association with Epstein.
Charles also pushed out Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, further underscoring just how far the once-powerful royal has fallen.
Insiders say Andrew has lost most of his remaining friends and now relies on a dwindling circle of comforts — including the beloved corgi dogs once owned by his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, whose care was entrusted to him.
But sources insist the teddy bears have taken center stage.
“He talks to them. Full conversations,” one insider claimed. “Then he’ll tell staff what the bears ‘said,’ as if they’re giving instructions.”
The fixation has reportedly grown so intense that Andrew frets about how the forced move from Royal Lodge will affect the bears themselves. “He genuinely believes it’s their home too,” the source added.
Another insider put it bluntly: “It sounds sad because it is sad. Andrew is in a genuinely pathetic place right now. Between the bears and the corgis, those are the only companions he feels he can rely on.”
And the whispers inside royal circles are growing louder.
“People are saying he’s one step away from completely losing it.”
