Simon Cowell Faces New Health Scare

Simon Cowell is reportedly facing another terrifying back operation as fears grow that his years-long health nightmare may be far from over.

The 66-year-old TV mogul is said to be preparing to go under the knife again in a desperate attempt to ease the chronic pain and nerve damage that have haunted him since his horrific 2020 e-bike crash.

But the possibility of another major spinal procedure is reportedly setting off alarm bells among people close to the former American Idol judge — especially after a doctor warned that serious back surgery can carry the risk of paralysis.

Cowell’s nightmare began in October 2020 when he was thrown from an electric bike and shattered his back.

The injury was so severe that surgeons were forced to operate for six grueling hours, inserting a metal rod into his back to stabilize his spine.

Cowell later admitted the situation was far more frightening than fans were initially told.

“It was a lot worse than people thought,” he said in 2023, revealing that he was left with serious long-term nerve damage.

Even more chilling, Cowell has said his own surgeon feared he might never walk again.

He recalled being shown an X-ray before surgery and hearing words no patient wants to hear.

“Look, I’m not going to lie, Simon, I don’t know if I can fix this,” Cowell said the surgeon told him.

Cowell eventually got back on his feet, but his bad luck was not over.

In 2022, he crashed an e-bike for a second time and was later spotted wearing a bright yellow cast on his arm, sparking concern that he had suffered yet another serious injury.

Now, nearly six years after the first devastating accident, Cowell is reportedly still paying the price.

Despite dramatically transforming his health — losing around 42 pounds and kicking what he once described as an 80-cigarette-a-day habit — insiders reportedly fear his damaged back could remain a lifelong battle.

“This news is scary as h— for the folks in Simon’s world,” a source told RadarOnline.com.

“It’s very clear that his back issues are far from resolved, and he is likely dealing with a lifelong problem.”

Adding to the concern, Florida-based longevity expert Dr. Gabe Mirkin, who has not treated Cowell, warned that additional spinal surgery can come with major complications.

“All back surgery carries significant risk,” Mirkin said.

“After an accident, multiple areas can be damaged, and you may not know all the places that can cause trouble.”

Then came the most alarming warning.

“There is also a risk of paralysis,” Mirkin said.

The doctor explained that surgeons may remove bone or insert spacers to take pressure off one nerve, only for another nerve to potentially come under pressure.

Mirkin also claimed that back surgery following major trauma can carry a high failure rate.

For Cowell, the prospect of another operation marks the latest frightening chapter in a health ordeal that once left doctors unsure whether he would ever walk again.

And while the famously tough TV judge has insisted he is fitter than ever, the battle with his injured back may be nowhere near finished.
