Marjorie Taylor Greene may have just traded Congress for coffee talk.
After the Georgia firebrand shocked Washington by announcing her resignation, sources say ABC insiders are buzzing about her “shockingly calm” appearance on The View — and whether it could lead to a permanent seat at the table.
According to multiple reports, Greene’s surprise performance “blew away expectations.” One senior producer told entertainment columnist Rob Shuter: “She was steady and surprisingly controlled. None of us expected that.”
Another exec added that even the live audience — famous for booing controversial guests — went silent. “When the crowd didn’t boo, that changed everything,” they said.
Behind the scenes, network sources believe Greene’s visit might’ve been more than a publicity stunt. One staffer called it “the closest thing to an audition we’ve ever seen.”
Others think she’s already eyeing something bigger — the 2028 presidential race. “That ambition is real,” a high-level insider claimed.
For now, ABC execs are just “reviewing the tape,” but as one staffer put it, “She surprised everyone — and that alone changes things.”
Greene’s appearance didn’t sit well with her former ally, President Donald Trump. He blasted her on Truth Social for going “Far Left” and appearing on the liberal talk show.
Days later, Greene dropped the real bombshell — announcing she’ll resign from Congress at the end of her term. “I’m going back to the people I love … I look forward to a new path ahead,” she posted on X. Her last day will be Jan. 5, 2026.
Before politics, Greene was a Georgia businesswoman and CrossFit gym owner who wrote for the far-right blog American Truth Seekers. She shot to national fame in 2020 riding the Trump wave, winning Georgia’s 14th District seat and instantly becoming one of the House’s loudest — and most polarizing — voices.
Now, after a roller-coaster run in Washington, it looks like MTG’s next act might play out not on Capitol Hill — but on live TV.
