Country music icon Dolly Parton has hit pause on her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency, revealing she’s under strict doctor’s orders to undergo multiple medical procedures.
The 79-year-old legend broke the news to fans in a heartfelt Instagram post, admitting she’s been battling ongoing health issues that now require her full attention. With her signature humor, Dolly quipped that it’s just her “100K mile checkup” — but quickly made it clear this isn’t about plastic surgery.
“I want to give my fans the very best show I can,” she explained, noting that tickets had been reselling for as much as $1,500 a seat. Postponing the concerts, she said, was the only way to make sure she’d be able to deliver at her best.
While Dolly may be sidelined from the stage for now, she assured fans she’s not retiring. “I think God’s just telling me to slow down a little,” she shared, adding that she’ll continue working on a few projects back home in Nashville during her recovery.
It’s been an incredibly tough year for the superstar, who lost her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, in March. Now, her six December 2025 shows at Caesar’s Palace will shift to September 2026 — leaving fans scrambling to rearrange flights and hotels.
Sending all our love and best wishes for a speedy recovery, Dolly!

At 79, still looks good in a tight pair of slacks…
So the scalpers were trying to gouge people for $1500 a ticket… no sympathy for anyone who pays that…
