Country legend Dolly Parton has worried fans yet again after pulling out of another major appearance—just days after postponing her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency.

The 79-year-old icon was set to accept the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the prestigious Governor Awards in Hollywood on November 16, but word just dropped that she won’t be attending. The cancellation comes on the heels of her Vegas no-show, and fans are openly pleading for answers. One concerned user wrote, “Dolly is a national treasure! Lord, please heal whatever it is that is affecting her health.”

Earlier this week, Dolly told fans directly on Instagram that she’s facing health challenges that require “a few procedures.” In her classic witty style, she joked it felt like her “100,000-mile check-up,” making it clear it wasn’t her usual plastic surgery appointment.

Still, Dolly reassured her fans: “Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures.”

Her postponed Las Vegas shows will now kick off in September 2026, running from the 17th to the 26th.

The recent string of cancellations comes on top of her skipping an appearance at Dollywood earlier this month, when she revealed via pre-recorded video that she’d been dealing with kidney stones and an infection. “The doctor said: ‘You don’t need to be traveling around this minute… You need a few days to feel better,’” she told fans.

Adding to the heartache, Parton lost her husband Carl Dean in March at the age of 82, making this year an especially difficult one for the superstar.

For now, fans will have to wait until next fall to see Dolly back on stage—but many are left wondering how serious these mystery “health challenges” really are.
