Dolly Parton’s sister Freida is setting the record straight after fans went into panic mode over the country legend’s health.

The 79-year-old icon recently had to cancel an appearance at Dollywood and postpone her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency after suffering from a painful kidney stone that’s been “causing her a lot of problems.”

Following the news, Freida Parton — who’s also a singer-songwriter — took to Facebook asking fans to pray for her famous sister, writing that Dolly “hasn’t been feeling her best.” But her message sparked concern among fans, with many fearing the worst.

Now, the 68-year-old is walking back those worries. “I want to clear something up,” Freida wrote in a follow-up post. “I didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly. She’s been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer. It was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister.”

Freida added that Dolly’s fans’ love and support “truly makes a difference” and thanked everyone for their kind messages.

A spokesperson for Dolly told CBS that the “Jolene” singer will personally update fans on her recovery Wednesday, assuring everyone she’s on the mend and in good spirits.
