President-elect Donald Trump is making waves once again, this time with a bold announcement on Truth Social. In a post on Wednesday night, he revealed a list of individuals who will not be part of his administration—a move aimed at cementing loyalty and streamlining his team for his return to the White House.

“America First, Not Business As Usual”

Trump’s post underscored his intent to avoid figures he described as embodying “Trump Derangement Syndrome” (TDS). He called on his supporters to refrain from recommending anyone associated with key Republican figures he considers disloyal or detrimental to his vision for the country.

“We will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, and it will happen very quickly!” Trump wrote. “To save time, money, and effort, avoid sending us people linked to Americans for No Prosperity (headed by Charles Koch), ‘Dumb as a Rock’ John Bolton, ‘Birdbrain’ Nikki Haley, Mike Pence, disloyal Warmongers Dick Cheney and his Psycho daughter, Liz.”

Other names on the blacklist included Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Mark Milley, and James Mattis. Trump concluded, “Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

A History of Falling-Outs

Trump’s grievances with these individuals are no secret. His public feud with former Vice President Mike Pence dates back to the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021. Pence’s memoir, So Help Me God (2022), detailed his perspective on Trump’s role in the events. “Trump endangered my family and democracy itself,” Pence wrote.

Nikki Haley, a former U.N. ambassador, has also drawn Trump’s ire. She openly criticized him during her 2024 presidential campaign, calling his leadership “a threat to the future of the Republican Party.”

Meanwhile, former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan has repeatedly labeled Trump a “populist authoritarian narcissist” and declined to support him in the 2024 election. In a 2023 interview, Ryan stated, “Trump’s instincts are about power and popularity, not principles.”

Military Figures Take a Stand

Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, has been one of Trump’s most vocal critics in the military sphere. In his 2023 retirement speech, Milley declared, “We don’t take an oath to a king, tyrant, or wannabe dictator,” a comment widely interpreted as a rebuke of Trump.

Milley’s criticisms extended beyond speeches. In Bob Woodward’s 2024 book War, Milley called Trump “a fascist to the core.” He told Woodward, “No one has ever been as dangerous to this country as Donald Trump.”

Reactions from the GOP

Trump’s post has elicited mixed responses from Republican leaders. Some, like Senator Josh Hawley, praised the move as “a necessary purge of disloyal actors.” Others, including Senator Mitt Romney, dismissed it as “a continuation of Trump’s divisive politics.”

Romney, who did not support Trump in 2024, told reporters, “We need leadership that unites, not tears apart.”

What’s Next?

As Trump prepares for his second term, his administration’s staffing choices will reflect his broader strategy. By publicly drawing lines, Trump aims to consolidate his influence over the GOP and ensure that his team shares his “America First” philosophy. Whether this approach will strengthen his presidency or alienate key allies remains to be seen.

Conclusion

Trump’s blacklist is more than a personnel decision; it’s a declaration of intent. By sidelining figures he perceives as adversaries, Trump is doubling down on his brand of leadership. As his second term unfolds, the implications of these decisions will reverberate across the Republican Party and the nation.

In Trump’s words: “The best is yet to come.”

  1. This brings up why I like Trump so much. The National Socialist Party, naturally, loathes him. But so does a significant part of the GOP. Trump is his own man. Honest, straightforward, and independent. I am sorry he will be unable to run again in 2028, because I can honestly say there is not a single known candidate from either party I could support. I will watch Vance very closely.

  2. i’m sorry about his feud with nikki haley; i think she’d be a great addition to the white house and trump’s policies.

  3. Yep, time for him to clean house. Never been so excited for a Monday. I’m off Monday and going to celebrate the inauguration. Can’t wait to see him put things back in place that the blooming idiot and his swamp rats took away. MAGA, God Bless America, it will be a great day!!!
