President Donald Trump may have stolen the cameras, but it was his 14-year-old granddaughter, Arabella Kushner, who unexpectedly captured the nation’s attention during Sunday’s U.S. Open men’s singles final in New York City.
Arabella, the eldest daughter of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, sat just a few seats away from the president inside the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center as Spanish sensation Carlos Alcaraz defeated Italy’s Jannik Sinner.
“She’s growing up right in front of America’s eyes,” one attendee told Page Six. “You could see her taking it all in — the energy, the security, the boos, everything.”
The president was flanked by a tight inner circle, including Attorney General Pam Bondi, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, special envoy Steve Witkoff, and Arabella’s father, Jared Kushner.
Conspicuously missing? Ivanka Trump.
While Ivanka is known for her love of sports, she skipped the match entirely. Sources close to the family hinted she’s been busy working with UFC president Dana White on what one insider described as “a wild, first-of-its-kind fight night on the White House lawn.”
Trump’s arrival caused the match to pause for heightened security measures — a frequent occurrence since his return to the White House in January 2025. But when the cameras panned to the president, boos rippled through the stadium.
Arabella, seated beside her grandfather, kept a calm expression.
“It couldn’t have been easy for a teenager,” a fellow spectator said. “You’re next to the most controversial figure in America, and the entire stadium reacts. She handled it with real grace.”
Arabella eventually moved to sit directly behind Trump, closer to her father, where she seemed more at ease.
The appearance marks Arabella’s most high-profile outing yet, sparking speculation over whether she’ll follow her cousin Kai Trump, 18, into the political spotlight.
Kai, the eldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr., made waves last summer after giving a fiery speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. She has since reinvented herself as a MAGA influencer, racking up millions of TikTok followers and scoring endorsement deals with golf brands.
So far, Arabella has kept a lower profile. Her social media presence remains private, and she’s mostly appeared in family posts shared by her mother.
Arabella did make headlines last year when she and Ivanka attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Miami — a move that set off a minor firestorm within MAGA circles.
At the time, Swift had just publicly endorsed Trump’s 2024 opponent, Kamala Harris. Trump slammed Swift on Truth Social, calling her “a disgrace to America.”
The controversy deepened when Ivanka revealed that Arabella celebrated her 13th birthday with a Taylor Swift-themed cake.
This isn’t Arabella’s first time alongside her famous grandfather. She’s appeared at several White House events this year, including the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl celebration in April and a June flag-raising ceremony where her other grandfather, Charles Kushner — controversially appointed U.S. ambassador to France after Trump’s pardon — was also in attendance.
Still, Sunday’s U.S. Open outing felt different.
“She’s not just the quiet kid anymore,” one Republican strategist told Axios. “People are paying attention. In Trump World, that usually means a bigger role is coming.”
Carlos Alcaraz defeated Jannik Sinner in four sets — 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 — to claim his sixth Grand Slam title. But for many, the real show played out in the stands, where America got its first glimpse of another young Trump stepping out of the shadows.

Arabella is a very classy fourteen year old that reminds me of her Grandmother Melania. They have this inner class that shines through them!
But Watch Out Jared! I’m sure Arabella has already captured the hearts of many young men, so be ready to protect her from the amorous following she has now, as it will only grow larger as she grows up!
Just a fluff piece of reporting…
