Nicole Scherzinger, the famous singer and Broadway star, has sparked a wave of discussions after seemingly showing support for Donald Trump in the wake of the U.S. election results.

Her comment on a post by British comedian Russell Brand has some conservative voices wondering if Scherzinger is aligning with their values—while others question the intent behind her words.

On Tuesday, after polls closed across the country, former President Trump was declared the winner of the 2024 presidential race. The result came after a fierce contest, with Kamala Harris stepping in as the Democratic nominee following President Joe Biden’s surprising exit from the race. As Trump gears up for a second term, many celebrities have shared their opinions, and Scherzinger’s recent comment is no exception.

Russell Brand, who has become more vocal about his Christian faith in recent months, shared a post on Instagram on November 6, featuring a cap that read “Make Jesus First Again”—a clear nod to Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan. In a second slide, Brand posted a screenshot from X (formerly Twitter) that said, “God Bless America.” Brand’s message, blending faith and politics, has resonated with a number of Trump supporters, especially given his recent public embrace of Christianity.

Scherzinger, whose faith has always been a significant part of her life, seemed to affirm Brand’s message. In response to his post, the singer left a comment asking, “Where do I get this hat!!!?” followed by praying hands and a red heart emoji. The comment quickly gained traction, sparking both support and criticism. While some fans cheered her on for her apparent Christian stand, others were concerned about the message it sent.

Adam Feldman, a theater editor from Time Out New York, tweeted the screenshot of Scherzinger’s comment, joking, “Well the Best Actress Tony race just got a little less competitive.” He went on to criticize her for possibly supporting Trump, calling it a “bad look” for a Broadway star.

Despite the backlash, Scherzinger’s actions are being viewed by some as a display of her Christian faith, rather than a direct endorsement of Trump’s political platform. One commenter on X even hoped that Scherzinger was simply showing support for her faith, suggesting, “Is it possible she’s just a Jesus believer?”

Scherzinger’s Catholic upbringing has been well-documented, and in a 2019 interview with The Guardian, she shared that she attends church regularly and holds strong religious beliefs. “I was very conservative. I had really strong religious beliefs,” Scherzinger said. She also explained how balancing her faith with her career in the entertainment industry, particularly with the provocative Pussycat Dolls, was challenging.

In this polarized political climate, celebrities’ public statements often become lightning rods for debate, and Scherzinger’s comment is no exception. While her faith is central to her identity, her endorsement of Brand’s message may signal that, for her, religious values and politics are closely intertwined. For conservatives who feel increasingly underrepresented in Hollywood, Scherzinger’s seemingly subtle nod to Trump may feel like a breath of fresh air—a sign that not all public figures are distancing themselves from traditional values.

Scherzinger has yet to make a public statement clarifying her views on the election or Trump. Newsweek has reached out to her representative for comment, but no response has been provided as of yet. Until then, fans and critics alike will continue to speculate on whether this comment signals a shift in Scherzinger’s public persona or simply a personal statement of faith.

  4. Well, I am sure she will now be the preferred Broadway actress of the MAGA crowd…because we know those people would rather go to a Broadway show that a NASCAR race or a Rodeo.
Regarding Christian Faith and MAGA, I honestly can’t think of a crowd that most ignore the teachings of Christ than an American Republican voter following Trump…..these are people that use Christianity to divide look down on people, not to unite or help them…..
Well, the voters have spoken, and now they will have to live with the consequences of their vote in hate, envy, ignorance and selfishness…..I will shed no tears for them when their lives gets worst.
Democrats need to learn that support for the different and minorities as well as rights for women do not win general elections and that the average American is now an uneducated moron willing to swallow any lies that rhymes with their backward dogma…next campaign, do not assume freedom and liberty rank higher than the price of bacon or eggs

  5. Anyone who reads GermanSmith have to be democrats because we all know he is getting paid to cause havoc on internet. He is a couch potato and gets our taxpayer money to drive hatred in society. He is on every one of these comment sections all day and all night. He is nothing but a government worker period. Avoid his comments and life will go on and he is insignificant anyway. Democrats pay for him to do this so stop responding to him and make him unheard and unseen please. We have to ignore these government payroll hacks.
