Shocking new details have emerged surrounding the sudden death of reality TV star Tyler Duckworth, who was reportedly found submerged in an overflowing bathtub after neighbors noticed water leaking through their ceiling.
Duckworth, a former winner of The Challenge, was found dead Thursday after police were called to his residence, according to the Grand Forks Police Department.
The disturbing discovery reportedly began when people living in the apartment below Duckworth noticed water leaking through their ceiling and alerted authorities.
Police arrived at about 11:45 a.m. and found the 44-year-old reality star unresponsive and submerged in an overflowing bathtub.
Duckworth was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet determined what caused his death. Police said there were no apparent signs of foul play, but an investigation remains underway as officials await autopsy and toxicology results.
The shocking circumstances have left Duckworth’s family searching for answers.
His mother, Joni Duckworth, confirmed her son’s death in an emotional Facebook post Thursday.
“My son, Tyler, passed away earlier this week,” she wrote. “Cause of death has yet to be determined. I will post on Facebook about services as soon as his dad and I figure it out.”
Duckworth’s unexpected death at just 44 has stunned fans who remember him from his time on reality television.
For now, exactly what happened inside the home — and how Duckworth ended up submerged in the overflowing bathtub — remains a mystery as his loved ones wait for investigators to determine his official cause of death.
