Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are once again at the center of royal drama, and this time the trouble is reportedly coming from inside their own Montecito mansion.

According to new claims, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had a major blowup over Harry’s hopes to bring the family back to the U.K. this summer. Meghan allegedly made it clear she had no interest in joining him, reportedly telling Harry she was “not going” as tensions reached a breaking point.

The alleged fight reportedly happened shortly before Meghan flew to Geneva for a previously scheduled appearance tied to the Sussexes’ Archewell Foundation.

Insiders claim the atmosphere between the couple has been “off the scale” ever since.

A source told Heatworld that things “boiled over” just hours before Meghan left for Switzerland, and that the couple did not speak for a while afterward. During Meghan’s time away, her mother, Doria Ragland, was reportedly staying at the Sussexes’ California home, allowing Meghan to FaceTime with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The reported argument appears to have centered on Harry’s growing desire to spend more time in Britain and reconnect the couple’s children with his side of the family.

Harry, insiders claim, has been feeling sentimental ahead of the couple’s eighth wedding anniversary. He was also said to be trying to plan a “big family summer in Europe,” including time at Balmoral so King Charles could see Archie and Lilibet.

But Meghan reportedly was not thrilled with the idea.

The Sussexes were allegedly planning to base themselves in Portugal for the summer before spending time in Scotland. However, the plan may have run into another royal roadblock.

According to the report, Meghan heard that Prince William and Kate Middleton had made it clear the Sussexes were “not welcome” and did not want their family sanctuary disrupted by what was described as “Hollywood drama.”

That claim reportedly sent Meghan over the edge.

“Meghan flipped, and a normal argument turned into a showdown,” the source claimed. “Tensions are at an all-time high.”

The once-hyped “Fab Four” relationship between Harry, Meghan, William and Kate has been in tatters for years. The brothers’ feud became public after Harry and Meghan quit royal duties in 2020, moved to California, and later unleashed a series of damaging claims about life inside the palace.

The four have not appeared together publicly since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022, and there has been little sign of a true reconciliation since.

After the alleged argument, Meghan traveled to Switzerland to attend the unveiling of the Lost Screen Memorial in Geneva. The project, created by Archewell Philanthropies, features 50 illuminated lightboxes showing the lock screens of young people who lost their lives after online violence and digital harm.

But when Meghan returned home to California, the Sussexes put on a very different show for the public.

The duchess marked their eighth wedding anniversary with a flood of loved-up Instagram posts. She shared photos and videos from inside their Montecito kitchen as the couple celebrated with Archie and Lilibet.

In one clip, the family sang “Happy anniversary to mama and papa” to the tune of “Happy Birthday.” Harry and Meghan also shared a kiss before blowing out candles on a lemon elderflower cake, the same flavor they served at their 2018 royal wedding.

Meghan also posted two carousels of never-before-seen photos from their Windsor wedding, writing, “Eight years ago today…”

But behind the romantic anniversary display, insiders claim all is not well.

The couple are reportedly still at a stand-off over whether Meghan and the children will join Harry in the U.K. this summer.

“Meghan’s bust-up with Harry was a big one, and she’s digging her heels in,” the source claimed. “She’s told Harry to go to the U.K. without her, as there was no way she would be joining. She doesn’t want to put herself, or the kids, through the drama.”

For Harry, the reported standoff could be especially painful. The prince has long spoken about wanting his children to know their royal relatives and their British roots.

But for Meghan, the U.K. appears to remain a place filled with painful memories, bad blood, and palace tension.

Now, the Sussexes’ carefully polished anniversary posts are being overshadowed by claims of another private showdown behind closed doors.

And if the reports are true, Harry may be forced to choose between his dream of a royal family reunion and Meghan’s refusal to step back into the drama she left behind.
