Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s latest charity push has sparked ridicule — with critics saying they’ve “hit a new low” by offering a $100,000 private dinner for donors.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly auctioning off the chance to share a meal with them through the platform CharityBuzz, raising funds for their Archewell organization. While the couple insists the pricey event supports philanthropy, royal watchers aren’t buying it.

“It’s an unseemly amount of money to be told a bunch of word salad,” royal correspondent Rupert Bell quipped, adding that the pair’s PR “has been pretty shocking lately.”

Social media had a field day, too. “I’d rather watch paint dry,” one user wrote. Another joked, “I hope she’s not doing the catering,” referencing Meghan’s home-cooking segments on Netflix.

The luxury dinner doesn’t appear on the couple’s official site, suggesting it’s a hush-hush offer aimed at ultra-wealthy donors. Still, many online questioned why anyone would pay six figures just to dine with the pair.

The move comes as the Sussexes quietly rebrand their Archewell Foundation into “Archewell Philanthropies,” signaling what insiders describe as a more “global” and “institutional” phase.

PR expert Mayah Riaz defended the change, calling it “a smart, deliberate evolution,” but others say the couple’s constant reinventions have left fans confused.

“Philanthropies sounds grander, but the problem isn’t the name,” one royal insider said. “It’s that people are tired of the performance.”
