Rock legend Keith Richards just turned 82 — and his latest move has Rolling Stones fans sounding the alarm.
The iconic guitarist, known for outliving just about everyone and everything, has reportedly told his bandmates he can’t handle another grueling stadium tour. The news has forced the Stones to cancel plans for a massive 2026 run across the UK and Europe — leaving fans devastated and worried this could be the beginning of the end.
“They had huge offers from promoters and a full summer mapped out,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “But once Keith opened up about how he was feeling, everyone knew it wasn’t realistic anymore. He just doesn’t have the energy for months on the road.”
While the band insists there’s “no dramatic situation,” others close to Richards say his health struggles are catching up. The rock legend has battled arthritis for years — a condition he’s brushed off as “benign,” but one that’s quietly changed how he plays guitar.
“Keith’s hard-partying days have finally caught up with him,” another insider said. “He just can’t face any more time on the road. He really is knocking on death’s door now — and he knows it.”
Fans, meanwhile, have flooded social media with emotional tributes and fears the indestructible guitarist may finally be running out of road.
Even if the Stones won’t be hitting arenas anytime soon, the trio — Richards, Mick Jagger, and Ronnie Wood — aren’t done yet. The band is quietly working on their 25th studio album at Metropolis Studios in London, with producer Andrew Watt and drummer Steve Jordan.
“They already have 13 songs done,” a source revealed. “They’re just waiting for the right moment to drop it.”
The record will follow 2023’s Hackney Diamonds, which snagged a Grammy for Best Rock Album and reminded everyone why the Stones still reign supreme.
For now, fans can only hope Richards’ legendary spirit keeps rolling. As one longtime collaborator put it: “You’ll never know when the Stones’ last show will be — not even them.”
