Kate Middleton is bringing heartfelt holiday magic — and a royal tribute — to Westminster Abbey this December.

The Princess of Wales will host her fifth annual “Together at Christmas” Carol Service on Friday, Dec. 5, and this year’s event comes with a touching twist. According to Kensington Palace, the celebration will honor the late Katharine, Duchess of Kent, who passed away in September at age 92.

Katharine, who was married to Queen Elizabeth’s cousin Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, quietly stepped back from royal life in the 1990s — but her love for music never faded. She even worked secretly as a music teacher and co-founded Future Talent, a U.K. charity helping young musicians from low-income families reach their dreams.

In a deeply personal gesture, Kate has invited young performers from Future Talent to play for guests as they arrive at Westminster Abbey — turning the Duchess’s lifelong passion into a living legacy.

“Music connects people in the most profound way,” Kate has said in past interviews, and her choice this year feels especially meaningful. The 2025 concert’s theme — “Love in All Its Forms” — also reflects the Princess’s own journey after revealing earlier this year that she’s in cancer remission.

As always, the service will bring out the royal family — and a few famous faces. Kate Winslet, Hannah Waddingham, Dan Smith of Bastille, and Chiwetel Ejiofor are among the stars helping make the evening one of the most emotional royal holiday events in years.

The Princess, who attended the Duchess of Kent’s funeral in September, is now ensuring her memory shines bright through music, community, and compassion — the perfect Christmas spirit.
