HGTV icon Hilary Farr just shut down a wild internet rumor in the most fabulous way possible.

After AI-generated images began spreading on social media showing the Love It or List It star hooked up to an oxygen mask and lying in a hospital bed, fans feared the worst. One viral post even claimed, “The physician caring for Hilary Farr’s cancer has provided a devastating update on her health: ‘She might never be seen on TV in the future.’”

But Hilary was quick to call out the hoax herself — and she brought the receipts.

“Ta daa! I’m alive. Very, very, very much so alive and well, I’m happy to say,” the 74-year-old designer announced in a cheerful Instagram video, laughing off what she called “crazy AI stuff.” She didn’t hold back either, calling the fake news “badly done” and “fake beyond words.”

Farr, who previously revealed to People that she battled breast cancer in 2014 and has been in remission since 2022, reminded fans not to believe everything they see online.

“I hope none of you would really take this stuff seriously,” she said.

The beloved HGTV star stepped away from Love It or List It in 2023 after more than a decade of helping homeowners decide whether to renovate or relocate. The hit show returned in 2025 with Farr’s longtime co-host David Visentin teaming up with realtor Page Turner — but fans still miss her signature sass.

For now, Hilary’s message is clear: she’s healthy, happy, and still very much the queen of design TV.
