Rock legend Rod Stewart is back in Sin City — and apparently back to his old hard-drinking ways.
Insiders say the 80-year-old icon’s Vegas stint has turned into a nonstop party, leaving his wife, model and TV personality Penny Lancaster, fearing for his health and their marriage.
“Rod’s drinking has always been an issue,” one friend told the outlet. “But this time, it’s on another level. He’s 80 and still drinks like he’s 25. Penny’s terrified something’s going to happen.”
When he’s not onstage performing his decades of hits, the “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?” singer is reportedly downing cocktails at Vegas after-parties — even shocking fans last month by turning his classic “Maggie May” into a not-so-PG version with X-rated lyrics after one too many drinks.
“He was holding court like a rock star from the old days,” said another eyewitness. “Everyone was laughing, but Penny was not amused.”
This isn’t the first time Stewart’s partying has made headlines. In 2019, he and son Sean Stewart were charged after a scuffle with a security guard on New Year’s Eve. And just recently, the star allegedly had to be escorted out of a pub in Poland after a five-hour drinking session while watching soccer.
Friends say Penny, 54, has had enough.
“She’s begged him to slow down for years,” the insider added. “She’s been incredibly patient, but she may finally have to give him some tough love.”
For now, Rod continues to hit the Vegas stage — and, reportedly, the minibar — with the same energy that made him a rock legend. Whether his marriage can keep up with that tempo, though, is another story.
