Things got way too hot at a McDonald’s in Michigan when an angry customer lost her temper—and her coffee—during a heated argument over a breakfast mix-up.

Viral footage shows 42-year-old Tara Martus furiously confronting a McDonald’s employee at the Saginaw location after claiming she’d been waiting for an hour. The worker calmly explained that Martus’s order had been automatically canceled when breakfast service ended—and that her refund was already being processed.

But instead of moving on, Martus went nuclear. After a few choice words, she shouted, “Fk you, catch that hot a coffee,” ripped the lid off her cup, and hurled the steaming drink directly at the worker.

The employee could be heard screaming in pain as the scalding liquid splashed across her, leaving her with minor burns.

Within an hour of police posting surveillance footage online, Martus was identified thanks to more than 100 tips from furious viewers. Detective Russ Pahssen said the suspect’s name came in “within two minutes.”

Authorities have since filed paperwork to charge her with felony assault, though she’s reportedly still at large.

The shocking clip has reignited debate over fast-food rage, with many social media users calling for tougher penalties for customers who attack service workers.

Last year, a similar case in the U.K. saw an Open University student assault a McDonald’s manager during a late-night brawl—proving that, apparently, some people just can’t handle their Happy Meals.
