Radar sources reveal that de Rossi, 52, has been quietly approached by HBO producers for a major role in the next season of The White Lotus — and she’s seriously considering it. But friends say Ellen, 67, is “furious” and “losing control” as her wife dreams of a glamorous return to television.
“Portia’s been Ellen’s stay-at-home trophy wife for years,” an insider dished. “She gave up her career to play house in the English countryside, but she’s miserable and itching to come back. Ellen’s trying to stop her — but it’s not working this time.”
The once-powerful talk show host, whose career imploded after her “toxic workplace” scandal, reportedly hates the idea of her wife being around other stars on a luxury resort set for months at a time.
