T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach are apparently ready to turn their scandal into a family affair — literally.
Sources tell RadarOnline.com the once-disgraced Good Morning America duo, who lost their jobs after their affair made headlines, are now hoping a new baby could help them rewrite their story.
“They do want a child together,” an insider spilled. “The most logical way would be to adopt, although they’re exploring surrogacy, too. But make no mistake, everything they do is orchestrated to revamp their image.”
Holmes, 48, and Robach, 52, dropped the news during a recent episode of their joint podcast, where Holmes admitted he’s been the one pushing for parenthood.
“I don’t know what’s going on, but we have talked more lately about having kids,” Holmes told Robach. “We’ve even talked about the idea of adopting a child — and usually it’s me bringing it up to you.”
At first, Robach laughed it off. She was told she was “out of the baby-making business” after battling breast cancer in 2013, but she’s since been open to the idea of adoption or surrogacy — possibly with an egg donor.
“She would love to have a little girl,” another insider revealed. “Amy really enjoys being a mother figure to T.J.’s daughter, Sabine.”
Robach already shares two grown daughters — Ava, 20, and Annalise, 19 — with ex-husband Tim McIntosh. But she’s made it clear she loves spending time with Holmes’ 12-year-old daughter.
“My girls have now gone off, but to have Sabine around is a joy,” Robach has said. “I love having that childlike sweetness in the house again.”
The former morning show favorites were fired from GMA in January 2023 after their affair went public, sending shockwaves through the TV world and ending both of their marriages.
Ironically, their exes — actor Andrew Shue and attorney Marilee Fiebig — are now dating each other.
“It burns them that so many people still see them as fame-hungry love rats who broke up two marriages,” a source dished. “They swear this baby idea comes from the heart, but let’s be honest — T.J. and Amy both know a baby would be great publicity.”
