Outrage erupts as fallen media darlings behave like teenagers at a formal tourism gala
Disgraced former Good Morning America hosts TJ Holmes and Amy Robach sparked outrage Monday night after engaging in a public, X-rated display at a black-tie event in Manhattan—leaving stunned attendees questioning how the couple was ever allowed near a microphone.
The pair—who were fired by ABC in 2023 after their extramarital affair made national headlines—showed little remorse for their past behavior, as they reportedly couldn’t keep their hands off each other during a high-society gathering hosted by the Paley Center for Media. The event was held in partnership with tourism officials from the Caribbean island of Nevis.
“It was appalling,” one guest told us. “There were families, business leaders, and dignitaries there—and these two are acting like they’re in a nightclub at 2 a.m.”
Multiple witnesses said Holmes was seen grabbing Robach’s backside in full view of the crowd. One source added, “They didn’t care who saw. It was crude, classless, and totally inappropriate for a professional event.”
FROM NEWSROOM TO NIGHTMARE
Once celebrated morning show anchors, Holmes and Robach’s careers imploded after their months-long secret affair was exposed by paparazzi in late 2022. The scandal embarrassed the network and drew fierce backlash from viewers who accused the duo of hypocrisy and unprofessionalism—especially since both were married at the time.
ABC quickly launched an internal review, and both hosts were terminated in early 2023. According to insiders at the time, the network was “blindsided” by the revelations and felt the pair had violated company values.
While Holmes and Robach have since tried to rebrand themselves as a podcasting couple, their efforts have struggled to gain traction. Critics have called the show “tone-deaf” and “self-indulgent,” often pointing out that the two rarely take accountability for the damage they caused to their families and reputations.
“PEOPLE ARE SICK OF THEM”
The latest stunt has once again drawn fire from the public.
“They were invited to help promote Caribbean tourism, not turn the event into a sideshow,” said another guest. “It’s not just embarrassing—it’s an insult to everyone there trying to conduct business or represent their community with dignity.”
Some Republican commentators were quick to weigh in.
“This is what happens when accountability goes out the window in media,” said conservative columnist Erica Thomas. “The same coastal elites who scream about ‘values’ are the first to defend this kind of behavior—if it’s their own.”
At press time, neither Holmes nor Robach had issued a comment.
For many, however, the damage is done.
“They’ve burned their bridges in journalism,” said one attendee. “And now they’re torching their reputations at public events too.”
