A helicopter crash in Huntington Beach, California, turned a sunny Saturday into chaos when the aircraft suddenly spun out of control and plummeted from the sky — all of it caught on video.

The crash happened just after 2 p.m. in a busy beach parking lot near Twin Dolphins Drive and Beach Boulevard. According to officials, five people were hospitalized after the incident.

The helicopter was reportedly linked to the “Cars ’N Copters on the Coast” event scheduled for the following day. Shocking footage shared online shows the aircraft twirling in the air before crashing down between a building and several palm trees.

“It looked like something out of a movie,” eyewitness Tim Robinson told Fox News Digital. “It spun around a few times and slammed into the building. It was crazy.”

Robinson, a Huntington Beach local who walks that area daily, said he noticed a piece flying off the chopper before the crash.

“I heard this ping, and then saw a part come flying off. I couldn’t tell what it was — but right after that, it started spinning out of control,” he recalled.

Authorities confirmed that two people inside the helicopter were rescued from the wreckage, and three bystanders were also injured. All five were transported to a nearby hospital.

The FAA and NTSB have both been notified and will be leading the investigation into what went wrong. As of now, the cause of the crash remains unclear.

The incident has raised serious safety concerns, especially with a large public event planned in the area. City officials say the investigation is ongoing.
