Tom Brady is under fire after making a shocking on-air comment about dogs during Sunday’s Fox NFL broadcast — a remark that’s now sparked a wave of backlash from furious fans and animal lovers alike.

The controversy unfolded in the fourth quarter of the Chicago Bears’ win over the Dallas Cowboys. After wide receiver George Pickens dropped a Dak Prescott pass that turned into an interception, cameras caught him slamming his helmet on the sideline.

Brady, calling the game from the booth, made the bizarre comparison: “Those helmets can be — it’s like the dog at home. Kick the dog, throw the helmet. Whatever it takes.”

The strange remark landed with a thud. Brady’s broadcast partner Kevin Burkhardt didn’t respond, and the game quickly went to a commercial break. The two finished the broadcast without revisiting the comment.

But viewers at home were already exploding on social media. “Did Tom Brady just admit to beating his dog on national television?” one person posted. Another added, “Is Tom Brady abusing dogs in his home??”

The retired quarterback, who has often shown off his love for dogs — even bringing them along to workouts — has not addressed the outrage. Still, the backlash is growing, with some fans demanding an apology and others questioning why Fox let the comment slide without clarification.

  1. Oh for the love of ….. do we, as a society, HAVE TO get upset and butthurt and over-sensitive about every little thing everyone says or does or thinks or whatever? I seriously doubt an off-the-cuff remark during a football game meant that he abuses dogs, or admits to have abused dogs. I love animals, have never hurt an animal however I would not have taken this the way others seem to have taken it. Grow up people.

    1. Ditto… must be a slow news day… or “Tom Brady” gets clicks… wait… the Democrat junkies still murder 75 people daily… maybe some of that could be covered? Instead of always hidden away…

  2. OMG ! Get a life people. I’m sure he’s not an animal hater. Stop screening every little tidbit people say to create a sensational story. We ourselves are animal lovers, and we thought nothing of it. Good grief. If you have to look for crap to pick through, pick on all the ignorant stuff trump says.

  3. There is an old adage that if a man has a bad day at work that he comes home and kicks the dog. So I’m getting that the football player
was unhappy about the football play and so threw his helmet. Has no one else heard the comment about bad day at work and kicking the dog?
