Even the G.O.A.T. isn’t safe from a little friendly fire.

During Fox’s NFL Sunday broadcast in Week 7, Tom Brady found himself blushing on live TV when his co-hosts decided to remind the world of his short-lived baseball days.

Brady was on the call for the Washington Commanders vs. Dallas Cowboys matchup when Kevin Burkhardt brought up Shohei Ohtani’s jaw-dropping Game 4 performance in the National League Championship Series.

“Hey, look at you! We know a guy who played some baseball,” Burkhardt teased, as the broadcast cut to a slideshow of Brady’s high school baseball photos.

Caught off guard, Brady laughed it off, saying, “Wait, I’m embarrassed. There’s a Shohei Ohtani photo and then me. That’s insane. I picked the right sport.”

The seven-time Super Bowl champ didn’t hold back his admiration for Ohtani either. “What I saw the other night was one of the greatest performances in history,” Brady said, referring to the Los Angeles Dodgers star leading his team back to the World Series.

Fans online couldn’t get enough of the “goat recognizing goat” moment.
“Legendary moment,” one fan posted on X.
“Ohtani showing why he’s worth every penny,” another wrote.
“Big bro knows ball,” added a third.

For those who didn’t know, Brady actually had a legit shot at a baseball career before choosing football. Back in 1995, the Montreal Expos drafted him in the 18th round of the MLB Draft — but the future Patriots legend decided to commit to the University of Michigan instead.

Looks like he made the right call.
