Meghan Markle is at the center of fresh controversy after viewers spotted Chrissy Teigen making a surprise cameo on the upcoming season of her embattled Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.
The appearance has sparked a storm of outrage, with critics blasting the Duchess of Sussex as a “walking hypocrite” for welcoming Teigen back into her inner circle — despite previously cutting ties over the model’s disturbing cyberbullying scandal.
Back in 2021, Markle made a show of distancing herself from Teigen after bombshell reports exposed the model’s relentless harassment of then-teen bride Courtney Stodden. At the time, Teigen had allegedly messaged Stodden telling her to “take a dirt nap” and repeatedly urging her to “kill yourself.”
Insiders revealed Meghan immediately ghosted the model to protect her carefully curated image as a global advocate against bullying and online hate. “There was simply no room for a ‘mean girl’ in Meghan’s inner circle,” one source said at the time. “It went against everything Meghan claimed to stand for.”
Even after Teigen issued a tearful public apology, Markle allegedly made it clear she couldn’t be associated with someone so toxic — especially while attempting to build her and Prince Harry’s philanthropic empire and multi-million-dollar media brand.
But fast-forward to 2025, and Markle’s Netflix deal is reportedly hanging by a thread. Ratings for With Love, Meghan have plummeted, with industry insiders whispering that the streaming giant is “losing patience” after investing millions into a project that has yet to find a stable audience.
So when Netflix dropped the trailer for the second season, fans were stunned to see Teigen back in Meghan’s orbit — laughing, crafting, and sipping tea inside the Duchess’ $14 million Montecito mansion.
Teigen even gushed on-camera, “Oh my gosh, I could do this every day,” as the two women playfully decorated ceramic bowls. But while the scene was meant to appear heartwarming, viewers weren’t buying it.
Within hours of the trailer’s release, critics flooded X (formerly Twitter) with fiery takes, accusing Meghan of selling out her supposed values for the sake of saving her Netflix paycheck.
“Meghan Markle is the biggest fraud in Hollywood,” one user blasted. “You can’t lead campaigns against bullying and then feature Chrissy Teigen — one of the most infamous cyberbullies — on your show.”
Another piled on: “This reeks of desperation. The series tanked, the Netflix deal is in jeopardy, and now Meghan is dragging Chrissy back into the spotlight for damage control. Pathetic.”
Others were even harsher, calling Meghan and Chrissy “camera-chasing grifters” and accusing the Duchess of being “a master manipulator hiding behind a fake humanitarian image.”
Insiders claim the decision to feature Teigen was “purely strategic” and pushed by Netflix executives hoping a controversial cameo might boost viewership. But the gamble may have backfired spectacularly.
Instead of generating excitement, the trailer has reignited criticism of Meghan’s credibility and authenticity. Public trust in the Duchess — already shaky after her and Harry’s string of failed ventures — now faces another major hit.
“Meghan thought this reunion would make headlines,” one Hollywood insider told RadarOnline. “She didn’t expect it to be for all the wrong reasons.”
With the second season set to premiere on August 26, the stakes couldn’t be higher. If With Love, Meghan fails to deliver, sources warn Netflix could finally cut ties — leaving the Sussexes scrambling to salvage their lucrative Hollywood ambitions.
