President Donald Trump is reportedly seething behind closed doors after a stunning security slip-up involving one of his top advisors—and a liberal media operative.

The firestorm centers around National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, who accidentally added The Atlantic‘s Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg to a private Signal group chat meant for Trump’s inner circle. The chat included key national security figures like Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and Trump’s personal Middle East negotiator Steve Witkoff.

The group was allegedly discussing classified military planning—specifically, upcoming strikes against Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.

Fox News Appearance Adds Fuel to the Fire

Waltz appeared on The Ingraham Angle this week, attempting damage control. “I take full responsibility,” he told Laura Ingraham, “but we’re going to figure out how this happened.”

That didn’t go over well with President Trump.

According to senior White House insiders, Trump was irate following the segment. “Should I fire him?” he asked aides in the Oval Office, sources say.

The public may have seen Trump defend Waltz early on, but inside the West Wing, it was a different story. Trump was reportedly infuriated that the administration’s dirty laundry was aired on live television. “He made us look weak,” one insider quoted Trump saying. “Like amateurs.”

Damage Control and Fallout

Despite the backlash, Trump ultimately decided to keep Waltz—for now. One White House official familiar with the president’s thinking explained, “Trump’s focused on stability this time. He doesn’t want the staffing chaos we had in the first term.”

The same source added, “Mike is going to survive this. But the leash just got a lot shorter.”

The Leak Heard Around D.C.

Jeffrey Goldberg, who is no friend to Trump or his America First agenda, claimed he kept some information under wraps to protect U.S. troops. But that didn’t stop him from running quotes and details that made headlines.

Among them: Vice President Vance reportedly messaged the group saying, “I am not sure the president is aware how inconsistent this is with his message on Europe right now.” Goldberg described the chat as “shockingly reckless,” alleging it included specifics about weapons, targets, and timelines.

It’s unclear whether Goldberg was added to the chat by accident or if there’s a deeper breach. But either way, the leak has already triggered Congressional inquiries. Members of the chat are being summoned to testify behind closed doors.

Trump Torches the Media

Trump didn’t mince words when asked about the debacle at a recent press briefing.

“That’s an app a lot of people use,” he said, referring to Signal. “And somebody got on. I happen to know, the guy’s a total sleazebag. The Atlantic is a failed magazine. Nobody reads it. Nobody cares. This gives it a little shot of life—for five minutes.”

The Real Threat: Media Manipulation and Deep State Games

Conservatives are asking the real question: how does a liberal media outlet gain access to high-level national security planning in the first place?

The leak highlights the ongoing war between Trump’s America First agenda and entrenched forces in Washington, D.C. who seem more interested in sabotaging the president than protecting the country.

As Trump eyes a second term, episodes like this may only harden his resolve to clean house—and remind Americans why the swamp needs to be drained, once and for all.

  1. Do Not Fire Anybody, please! In the public sphere, I’ve never heard anything remotely negative about him. This is the Dems latching on to anything to complain about since they have nothing to brag about. If you fire him, they’ll use it as that little crack in your team and try to make it a crisis beyond anything we’ve ever known.

  2. Dems never fired any of their own, regardless of how egregious their mistake or crime may have been.
No reason for Trump to even consider firing him.

    1. Trump’s not going to fire waltz because he’s too big of a wuss; waltz is too big of a boot-licker for to be gotten rid of. That’s what Trump thrives off are people like him that don’t have an independent thought processes-just robot mentality

  3. The democrats hack this email and believe me they have people who know how. They set them up. They have been on a witch hunt before he even start back in the office. I don’t trust that Democrats at all.

    1. And by the way I don’t trust most of the Republican party either. They stand for too much division and his too many rich folk back/front pockets. Just Love wealth and the wealthy-never mind about the working class that keeps this country going.

  4. Save your breath BTaylor, the Democrats have more pressing issues/concerns for the American people. than setting up these dumbies to be hacked. They are a total JOKE and they want to always take the easiest route to do things and when they get caught; it’s always somebody else’s fault-never theirs. TAKE RESPONSIBILTY for your inept behavior. Stop dropping at everybody/everything else door.
