What was supposed to be an exciting new chapter has now taken a heartbreaking turn.

Patrick Muldoon, best known to fans for his roles on Days of Our Lives and Melrose Place, is dead at 57 after a reported heart attack — and his final social media post is now sending chills through Hollywood.

Just two days before his sudden death, the actor appeared upbeat and full of energy, sharing what would unknowingly become his last message to fans. Posting on Instagram, Muldoon revealed he was “so excited” about a major new project, an upcoming film titled Kockroach, directed by Matt Ross and starring big names like Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton, Zazie Beetz, and Alec Baldwin.

“Filming now in Australia,” he wrote at the time, clearly thrilled about the opportunity. Muldoon was attached to the film as an executive producer — a role that hinted at even bigger things ahead.

But just days later, tragedy struck.

According to reports, Muldoon was at his Beverly Hills home on the morning of April 19, where he had been spending time with his girlfriend. After stepping away to take a shower, he never returned.

When too much time passed, his girlfriend went to check on him — only to find him unresponsive on the bathroom floor.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but it was too late.

The shocking news sent fans flooding to his final Instagram post, which quickly transformed into a digital memorial filled with grief, disbelief, and heartfelt tributes.

Many remembered him from his iconic roles, while others shared deeply personal messages about his kindness and impact.

“RIP legend,” one fan wrote, while another added, “The world just got a little darker.”

Others called him a “beautiful soul” and said his loss would leave a lasting void.

Even as fans mourn, Muldoon’s work is set to live on.

His final film, Dirty Hands — which features Denise Richards and Michael Beach — is still scheduled for release on April 24, offering one last glimpse of the actor doing what he loved.

Now, what should have been a celebration of new beginnings has become a haunting reminder of how quickly everything can change.
