A quiet, upscale Malibu neighborhood turned into the scene of a heartbreaking and highly charged controversy — and now a familiar face from one of TV’s most iconic beach shows is at the center of it all.

Former Baywatch star David Charvet is being accused of a shocking hit-and-run incident that allegedly left a beloved family dog dead, according to reports.

The incident reportedly unfolded just before 6 a.m. inside a gated Malibu community, where resident Vera Errico says she was walking her three dogs — all on leashes — when tragedy struck. Errico claims Charvet was behind the wheel of a Ford Super Duty pickup truck when he allegedly hit her 11-year-old white English Labrador.

What happened next is where the story takes a dramatic turn.

Errico alleges the actor didn’t stop at the scene and instead drove out of the gated community. However, reports indicate Charvet may have later contacted police — though details surrounding that call remain unclear.

The situation quickly spiraled into devastation for the dog’s owners. Errico and her husband rushed their injured pet to a veterinarian, but the damage was too severe. The dog ultimately had to be euthanized.

Now, the couple is reportedly preparing a police report, accusing the 53-year-old former TV star of fleeing the scene after the fatal collision.

So far, Charvet has not publicly responded to the allegations, leaving major questions unanswered as emotions continue to run high in the normally serene coastal enclave.

As this story develops, one thing is certain — what began as an early morning walk has exploded into a headline-grabbing controversy that could have serious consequences for the former lifeguard icon.
