Hollywood’s most powerful dynasty is in full-blown crisis mode as insiders say James Brolin, Barbra Streisand, and Josh Brolin are being begged to step in and save their troubled son and brother, Jess — before his health takes a terrifying turn.

Jess Brolin, 53, was recently spotted in Ojai, California, slumped on a bus-stop bench in a torn-up T-shirt and denim shorts, staring at a flip phone as he waited for a free bus. The scene played out just 45 minutes from the $100 million Malibu fortress where his father and stepmother reportedly live in extreme luxury.

“He is living like a ghost in the shadow of a Hollywood empire,” one insider said. “The whole family is scared. They know what’s coming if something doesn’t change.”

Friends say the Hollywood heir — who they estimate is around 350 pounds — had been staying at a modest three-star hotel in town despite having access to one of the richest families in showbiz.

“The whole family is worried,” the source stressed. “They have tried so many times to help, and he refuses. If Jess wanted, he could be living in the lap of luxury. They’d provide whatever he asked for — a home, a driver, top doctors, anything. But he doesn’t want that. He insists he’s happy living like this.”

Jess’ fall from privilege has been years in the making. In 2011, he was reportedly reduced to living out of his 1981 pickup after the trust fund left to him and his brother Josh by their late mother, Jane Agee, ran dry. When the old truck finally broke down, reports claimed he ended up sleeping on the streets.

In 2014, a photographer even caught him digging through a garbage can, apparently hunting for food — a shocking image of a Hollywood son who once had a safety net worth millions.

Now, the fear isn’t just about money — it’s about survival.

Past photos have shown Jess with alarming red blotches on his legs, and a doctor who has not treated him previously told RadarOnline.com that the marks appeared consistent with venous stasis sores, a condition linked to circulation issues that can spiral into infections and, in extreme cases, end in amputation.

“People are terrified he’s heading toward something catastrophic,” the insider admitted. “You only need to look at him to see he’s not healthy. But he’s not open to help, and his family can’t drag him into treatment against his will.”

Behind the gates of Malibu, Hollywood royalty waits — desperate, frustrated, and running out of options — as Jess Brolin continues to sit at bus stops and cheap hotels, one bad turn away from a medical emergency that could cost him his leg… or worse.

  1. Keep family problems to families not air in public for sympathy or attention. But we all know Barbara has to be the center of attention. These people don’t get their attention from public anymore so have to do anything to be in spotlight. They didn’t care before evidently or we wouldn’t be hearing about it now.
