Barbra Streisand may sing about people who need people, but insiders say the superstar’s real soulmates are her dogs — and she’s so devoted to them that she’s gearing up to clone them again.

The 83-year-old legend famously cloned her beloved Coton de Tulear, Samantha, after the pup passed in 2018. The result? Violet and Scarlett — two near-identical fur babies she adores. But RadarOnline.com has learned the duo is getting older, and Streisand is already looking ahead.

According to a source, the diva wants to clone Violet and Scarlett before they reach the end of their lives — and she’s eyeing another pup, Fanny, as a future genetic twin too. The insider says she doesn’t want to wait for heartbreak to strike again. Instead, she wants to expand her furry family now.

Animal-rights groups like PETA have long discouraged cloning, pointing out the overwhelming number of adoptable animals already in shelters. But Streisand has made her feelings clear: losing Samantha shattered her, and cloning brought her comfort.

The Malibu icon explained that keeping part of Samantha alive through DNA felt like a way to ease the grief. Right before Samantha died, her vet collected cells from her cheek and tummy, which Streisand sent to ViaGen Pets in Texas — the lab responsible for her now-famous look-alike pups.

Today, Violet, Scarlett, and cousin Fanny rule the roost at the beachside home Streisand shares with husband James Brolin, 85. And if insiders are right, the singer wants even more fluffy clones running around her self-proclaimed puppy palace.

Friends say her dogs are the center of her world. She cooks them homemade meals, paints their nails, braids their hair, and even reads them stories. It’s a full-time pampering operation — and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

“She wants to make sure a part of Samantha is always with her,” a source shared. “Her dogs are her life and soul.”
