Shocking Death Rocks Jill Biden’s Past: Ex-Husband’s Wife Found Dead After Violent Late-Night Incident

A midnight domestic violence call has turned into a suspicious death investigation involving the ex-husband of First Lady Jill Biden — and the details are as chilling as they are tragic.

Police in Delaware say Linda Stevenson, 64, the wife of Bill Stevenson, was found lifeless on the living room floor of their Oak Hill home late Sunday night after officers rushed to the property on reports of a violent domestic disturbance.

When first responders arrived around 11:15 p.m., they discovered chaos inside the upscale residence — and Linda unresponsive. Officers desperately tried to revive her, performing CPR on the living room floor. But she was already gone.

“She was cold to the touch,” one law enforcement source told The Delaware Ledger. “It was clear something had gone terribly wrong before we got there.”

The New Castle County Police Department confirmed to reporters that Linda was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Unit have since launched a full-scale probe, interviewing witnesses and collecting forensic evidence from inside the home.

Authorities have not confirmed whether Bill Stevenson — Jill Biden’s ex-husband — is considered a suspect or person of interest, but neighbors say police spent hours at the property and towed away one vehicle for evidence.

“It was like a crime scene from a movie,” said one neighbor, who described flashing red and blue lights illuminating the quiet cul-de-sac. “They were out there all night. Nobody knew what was going on.”

Bill Stevenson, 75, has been a controversial figure for decades. The former nightclub owner and businessman was married to Jill Biden (then Jill Jacobs) before her relationship with President Biden began. Their messy divorce and his later claims that Joe and Jill’s romance began before the marriage ended made national headlines.

In recent years, Stevenson reemerged in the spotlight for taking jabs at the First Lady and accusing the Bidens of “rewriting history.” He often appeared on conservative talk shows, saying he was “betrayed” by his ex-wife and her future husband.

Linda, whom friends described as “the love of his life,” reportedly stood by him through those turbulent years. “She kept him grounded,” said a close family friend. “Everyone’s devastated. Nobody saw this coming.”
