Fresh whispers are swirling around one of Hollywood’s most famous marriages.
George and Amal Clooney are once again facing divorce chatter after the actor’s reportedly boozy night out following the Tony Awards left his wife “fuming,” according to multiple reports.
Sources say the tension flared after George attended a post-Tony Awards celebration in June that raised eyebrows among those close to the couple.
In a candid interview afterward, George admitted he partied a little too hard, joking that he ended the night “like a high school drunk” and felt “sick all day the next day.”
That comment alone was enough to set tongues wagging, especially given that the actor is not known for heavy drinking.
“That may or may not have sat well with Amal,” a source said.
The insider downplayed any serious fallout, however, adding that the couple remains deeply committed to each other.
“Everyone knows George doesn’t usually drink, so it was a little worrisome that he let loose and got blasted,” the source explained. “Will it end his marriage? Doubtful. George and Amal love each other and have a beautiful life together. He adores her, and she adores him.”
Just as the afterparty rumors were making headlines, the Clooneys found themselves dragged back into a much darker controversy.
In the posthumous memoir Nobody’s Girl, alleged Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre claimed that convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell once bragged about a sexual encounter with George Clooney at an Epstein-hosted party.
The explosive allegation quickly reignited online speculation and tabloid scrutiny.
After Giuffre’s diary writings first surfaced publicly in 2020, sources close to George said he strongly denied the claims and was prepared to publicly condemn them as false.
No evidence has ever surfaced tying the actor to Epstein or Maxwell, and Clooney has not been accused of any wrongdoing by authorities.
Still, the resurfacing of the allegations — combined with fresh gossip about his marriage — has once again placed the famously private couple under an intense spotlight.
For now, insiders insist that despite the noise, George and Amal are standing firm together.
