Once the king of rom-coms and MTV pranks, Ashton Kutcher is now fighting for his Hollywood life.

The 47-year-old star who once ruled the red carpet has all but vanished from public view — and insiders say it’s no accident. After a brutal few years filled with scandals, betrayals, and PR nightmares, Kutcher’s once-golden reputation has turned radioactive.

He’s been seen only once this year — a single red-carpet event in May — and wife Mila Kunis has also gone underground.

So what happened to the guy who used to be everywhere?

It all started with That ’70s Show co-star Danny Masterson’s shocking rape conviction in 2023. When Kutcher and Kunis wrote letters begging the judge for leniency, the backlash was instant — and devastating.

Fans were furious, the internet erupted, and within days Kutcher was forced to apologize and step down from the child-protection charity he co-founded.

Just when things seemed to cool off, the heat turned back up. Federal raids on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mansions in 2024 — followed by his conviction for prostitution trafficking — dragged Kutcher back into the fire.

His long-time friendship with the disgraced rapper suddenly looked toxic, and critics pounced. Kutcher stayed silent, but the damage was done. Every new post he shared online became a lightning rod for outrage.

Now, Kutcher is pinning everything on one last shot at redemption: The Beauty, a dark FX drama from Ryan Murphy debuting next month.

“He’s betting it all on this show,” a Hollywood insider spilled. “Ashton was once one of the biggest names in the business — now he’s praying people can forgive and forget. He knows his image is in shambles.”

In the series, Kutcher plays a “big-pharma billionaire with serious assets,” but behind the scenes, friends say it’s his reputation — not his character — that’s on life support.

Just as he ramps up promo appearances, including a stop at New York Comic Con, Kutcher’s old controversies keep crawling back. Fans have resurfaced his creepy Punk’d comments about a then-15-year-old Hilary Duff, a deleted tweet defending disgraced Penn State coach Joe Paterno, and even Demi Moore’s explosive claims of infidelity during their marriage.

“He’s embarrassed, exhausted, and desperate to be liked again,” said the source. “But Hollywood has a long memory — and Ashton might be learning that the hard way.”
