Meghan Markle’s new Netflix holiday special is supposed to show a “perfect family Christmas.” But behind the tinsel and camera-ready smiles, critics say the Duchess is living a very different reality—one marked by estrangement, regret, and a heartbreaking family crisis.
While Meghan’s With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration paints a cozy picture of gingerbread cookies, homemade wreaths, and matching red pajamas, her father, Thomas Markle Sr., is recovering from a devastating below-the-knee amputation in the Philippines. The 81-year-old has reportedly begged to see his daughter “one last time.”
“She needs to stop peddling this lie that everything in her world is perfect,” one insider told us. “It’s all about image, but the truth is far from that.”
Sources claim Meghan, 44, did send her father a letter after his surgery, but there’s been no real reconciliation or conversation. “He’s still hoping for a chance to see her again before it’s too late,” a family insider shared.
Meanwhile, Meghan and Prince Harry have spent yet another Christmas apart from the royal family—seven years and counting since their last holiday at Sandringham.
