Fans of 90 Day Fiancé are mourning the loss of Chuck Potthast, beloved father of Elizabeth Castravet, who has passed away at 64 after a brave fight with glioblastoma — an aggressive and incurable form of brain cancer.

The reality TV dad, who became a fan favorite for his protective and often emotional appearances on the hit TLC series, had been open about his health struggles. In September, he shared on Instagram that he was undergoing another surgery to repair hernias from past cancer operations, updating followers with his usual positivity.

“The Lord didn’t save my life to see my family fractured like this,” Potthast once said during an emotional episode, referring to the rift between his daughters and sons that played out on the show.

Elizabeth, who married her Moldovan husband Andrei Castravet in 2017 after their online romance blossomed onscreen, announced her father’s passing in a touching Instagram tribute. “My sweet, loving, and caring dad went to heaven,” she wrote, alongside family photos and heartfelt emojis.

The couple — who share daughter Eleanor, 6, and son Winston, 3 — had often credited Chuck with helping them navigate fame, family drama, and parenthood.

Fans have since flooded Elizabeth’s post with condolences, remembering Chuck as one of the most genuine and kind-hearted parents in the 90 Day universe.
