Andrew Windsor’s royal downfall is far from over — but his biggest fight now isn’t for himself, it’s for his daughters.
Sources say the former Prince, 65, agreed to give up his royal titles and move out of his lavish Windsor mansion in a last-ditch effort to protect Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35, from losing theirs after the Jeffrey Epstein scandal dragged his name — and reputation — through the mud.
“He clung on to his last snippet of status for as long as possible,” royal commentator Helena Chard told Fox News Digital, “but what he wasn’t going to do was allow his daughters, whom he is so protective of, to be stripped of their titles and royal life.”
A Father’s Final Stand
Once known as Prince Andrew, Duke of York, the disgraced royal saw his public life implode after his ties to Epstein became impossible to ignore. Stripped of his military affiliations and royal patronages by King Charles III, Andrew is now living in quiet exile — but insiders say he’s “fighting tooth and nail” to make sure Beatrice and Eugenie keep their royal identities intact.
The York sisters were granted their princess titles at birth as granddaughters of the late Queen Elizabeth II, and they continue to appear at royal events despite no longer being working royals.
“Part of Andrew’s deal to give up his titles was about keeping his daughters safe,” Chard explained. “Beatrice and Eugenie’s titles will not be withdrawn with Andrew’s agreement to relinquish his and move out of Royal Lodge.”
Beatrice’s Comeback Move
While her father retreats from royal life, Princess Beatrice is stepping forward. Just one week after her dad’s titles were officially stripped, she landed a new royal role — becoming Deputy Patron of the youth-focused charity Outward Bound on November 7.
It’s a major comeback for the princess, who has served as a trustee since 2019. She’ll now work alongside her uncle, Prince Edward, in her new role — a move that insiders say shows “King Charles wants to rehabilitate the York girls, even if William doesn’t.”
Trouble Ahead?
Behind palace doors, tensions are reportedly simmering. Prince William, 43, is said to want all non-working royals stripped of their titles — including Beatrice and Eugenie, as well as Harry and Meghan.
“William wanted the Yorks out of sight until after the King’s next health review,” one insider told royal reporter Rob Shuter. “But His Majesty insisted — he thinks the family needs to heal in public.”
A longtime royal aide added bluntly, “William’s pragmatic. He knows the Yorks are poison with the public. His father just won’t see it.”
For now, Beatrice and Eugenie’s royal status remains untouched — but with family politics, scandal, and a new king’s health all hanging in the balance, the York sisters’ fairytale titles could still be one crisis away from disappearing for good.
