Joe Biden, 82, Gives ‘Emotional’ Speech with Bandaged Head (Video)

Joe Biden turned heads Friday night — literally — when he appeared at a Democratic Party gala with a fresh-looking bandage on his scalp while delivering one of his most fiery speeches yet.

The 82-year-old former president took the stage at Nebraska’s Ben Nelson Gala, where he got personal about his ongoing cancer battle — and his late son Beau’s devastating fight with brain cancer.

“Cancer hits every family. It’s hit my family hard,” Biden said to the crowd. “When my son — the attorney general of Delaware, who should’ve been president, not me — came back from Iraq, he came back with stage four glioblastoma. He died because he lived near burn pits, just like the 9/11 guys.”

Biden, who was diagnosed with late-stage prostate cancer in May, didn’t mention the bandage directly — but it sparked concern online. The ex-president had undergone Mohs surgery earlier this year, a procedure used to check how deep skin cancer has spread, and he was previously seen in August with a larger head dressing.

During his emotional remarks, Biden also took direct aim at President Donald Trump’s administration, accusing it of slashing cancer research and healthcare funding.

“Thank God for the doctors, nurses, and breakthroughs we’re making,” Biden said. “But now Trump and his Republican friends are cutting government funding for healthcare — making it more expensive for everyone. Why in God’s name are they doing this? To fund tax cuts for the wealthiest people in America!”

The speech turned political as Biden tore into Trump over the record-breaking 39-day government shutdown, blasting the current administration for “making hunger worse for Americans” as millions face frozen SNAP benefits.

“In the United States of America, one in five children go to bed hungry every night!” Biden shouted, drawing applause. “Trump better get the damn government open!”

The former president ended on a hopeful note, celebrating Democrats’ major victories in recent state elections — from New Jersey and California to Georgia and Mississippi. “The Democratic Party is back — not hyperbole,” he declared to roaring cheers.

Whether the bandage was from a medical treatment or something else remains unclear, but one thing’s certain — Joe Biden isn’t backing down, health battles or not.
