Washington, D.C. — Alarming new questions are swirling around former President Joe Biden’s longtime physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, following Sunday’s stunning announcement that Biden is battling advanced prostate cancer — just months after the same doctor insisted he was “healthy and robust.”

But the man responsible for Biden’s glowing health reviews is far more than just a doctor. He’s a family insider, a former business associate of Biden’s scandal-plagued brother, and now the focus of a mounting political firestorm.

“It’s a conflict of interest at the highest level,” said Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas), a former White House physician under Presidents Obama and Trump. “Dr. O’Connor isn’t just Biden’s doctor — he’s a fixer for the family. He’ll say whatever it takes to protect them.”

Who Is Dr. Kevin O’Connor?

Dr. O’Connor, a former Army colonel and flight surgeon, first entered the White House under President George W. Bush. When Joe Biden became vice president in 2009, O’Connor was assigned to him — and never left. What began as a six-month detail turned into more than a decade of personal and political loyalty.

He even stayed on as Biden’s personal physician after the Obama administration ended, and was reinstated as the official White House physician when Biden took office in 2021.

But it’s not just medicine that ties O’Connor to the Biden family.

In the mid-2010s, O’Connor worked closely with Biden’s younger brother, James Biden, on a controversial plan to revitalize rural hospitals. That venture eventually drew scrutiny from federal regulators and was later linked to fraud allegations by both the SEC and the Department of Justice.

“You don’t mix medicine and business with a political family — unless you’re trying to hide something,” said a former federal ethics official who spoke on background. “This entire setup screams of backroom deals and medical spin.”

A Clean Bill of Health — Until Cancer?

In February 2024, O’Connor declared Biden “fit for duty” after a routine physical, writing that the then-president was “healthy, active, and fully capable of executing all of his responsibilities.”

But that diagnosis has come under intense scrutiny in the wake of Sunday’s news that Biden has stage 4 prostate cancer — a form of the disease that has already metastasized to the bone, according to a White House spokesperson.

“This doctor looked the American people in the eye and said Biden was fine — now we find out he has late-stage cancer?” said President Trump during a rally in Pennsylvania Monday night. “Someone needs to ask this doctor some serious questions.”

Trump also raised concerns about Biden’s behavior during their first 2024 debate, where the former president said he saw a man who was “clearly not well.”

Beau, Biden, and the Family Doctor

Dr. O’Connor’s involvement with the Bidens goes beyond Joe. He also reportedly advised the family during the late Beau Biden’s battle with brain cancer. In his memoir “Promise Me, Dad,” Biden refers to O’Connor not just as a doctor but a “confidant.”

It’s this intimacy that has drawn the most ire from critics who believe O’Connor’s medical assessments may be more about political optics than objective truth.

“He’s not just the family doctor — he’s the family protector,” said Rep. Jackson. “And he’s been misleading the public from the beginning.”

Cover-Up Accusations Gain Momentum

Biden’s cancer diagnosis — and the timeline of events leading up to it — has now become a major political liability for Democrats already scrambling ahead of the 2024 election. With growing speculation that Biden’s health was far worse than publicly acknowledged, the Republican base is calling for full transparency.

“Americans deserve to know when the cancer was discovered, why it wasn’t disclosed sooner, and whether this doctor was covering up Biden’s condition to avoid political fallout,” said Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY). “If there was a cover-up, it’s not just medical malpractice — it’s a national scandal.”

What Comes Next?

Calls are growing for Dr. O’Connor to testify under oath before Congress about the true state of Biden’s health — and whether political loyalty influenced medical reporting.

Meanwhile, Biden remains out of the public eye, recovering from what his team claims is “early-stage treatment.” But with stage 4 cancer already in the bone, critics aren’t buying the optimism.

“This was never about health,” said one GOP strategist. “This was about power — and keeping it at any cost.”

Stay tuned. The diagnosis may be Biden’s, but the fallout could reshape the 2024 race.
