Within weeks, mounting pressure from within the Democratic Party forced him to step aside, paving the way for Kamala Harris to become the nominee — and ultimately setting the stage for Trump’s return to the White House.

Top oncologist Dr. Zeke Emanuel, who served as an adviser during the Obama administration, suggested Biden may have been battling the illness during his presidency.
