Meghan Markle has reportedly drawn a hard line in the sand — and it’s sending shockwaves through Buckingham Palace.
According to insiders, the Duchess of Sussex has made an “impossible ultimatum” that would ban her from ever being in the same room as Queen Camilla — even if Prince Harry moves forward with plans to repair his relationship with the royal family.
“She’s calling it a boundary,” one palace source told RadarOnline.com, “but everyone inside the palace sees it as a brick wall. Meghan’s making sure she’ll never have to face the royals again — especially Camilla.”
Meghan’s “Non-Negotiable” Rules
Sources close to the couple say Meghan’s demand is part of a list of “non-negotiables” she’s presented to Harry. The goal? To appear supportive of his peace efforts while making it nearly impossible for her to actually return.
The former Suits actress, 44, reportedly told Harry she’d only support his reconciliation with King Charles if she’s guaranteed she’ll never have to interact with Camilla.
“It’s Meghan’s way of saying, ‘I’ll never go back,’” said a royal insider. “It lets her look like the reasonable one — while making royal life completely unworkable.”
Inside “Project Thaw”
Behind palace doors, courtiers have been quietly advancing what’s being called Project Thaw — a plan to reintroduce Harry, 41, to public favor through small, controlled appearances.
His most recent trip to London included a short private tea with his father, lasting less than an hour. While Charles is reportedly “open to cautious reconciliation,” sources say Queen Camilla is “fuming” over the idea of welcoming the Sussexes back.
“Camilla thinks it’s absurd,” said one palace aide. “She opposed Harry’s last visit, and the thought of Meghan returning — even briefly — is completely unacceptable to her.”
Old Wounds, New Drama
Tensions between the Queen and the Sussexes have been high since Harry’s tell-all Spare, where he called his stepmother “dangerous” and accused her of leaking stories to the press.
A close friend of the Queen said those words “cut deeply” — and forgiveness isn’t on the table.
“Camilla never forgets a slight,” the friend shared. “Being called a villain still stings. She believes Meghan fueled Harry’s anger toward the family. That kind of damage doesn’t heal.”
Palace insiders claim Camilla has since worked to ensure any Sussex-related visits are tightly managed — and physically distant.
“She keeps things polite in public,” the source said, “but in private, she calls Meghan manipulative and a threat to the King’s peace of mind.”
Caught Between Meghan and Camilla
As the rift deepens, King Charles — who continues to battle cancer — is said to be pleading for calm.
“Charles wants peace more than anything,” said a royal source. “But Meghan’s demands make that impossible. Camilla won’t compromise, and Meghan won’t budge. It’s a deadlock.”
Observers say Meghan’s move is a clever PR play: “By refusing to be in the same room as Camilla, she’s made sure the royals can’t accept her terms — while making it look like she’s still open to reconciliation.”
In other words, Meghan may have just slammed the door on royal life for good — and made sure everyone knows who closed it.
