Meghan Markle is facing major backlash after sharing an Instagram video taken near the Paris tunnel where Princess Diana tragically died in 1997 — a move that insiders claim left Prince Harry “disgusted.”
The short clip, posted on October 4 after Meghan attended Balenciaga’s Paris Fashion Week show, showed her feet as she relaxed in the backseat of a car. But fans quickly noticed she was cruising less than a mile from the Pont de l’Alma tunnel — the same spot where Diana and Dodi Fayed’s car crashed while fleeing paparazzi nearly three decades ago.
The post was deleted soon after, but not before sparking outrage across social media.
“She went too far this time,” one royal insider told reporters. “It was a huge mistake. What was the point?”
According to palace whispers, the moment even caused tension at home. “There’s talk that Harry was disgusted by the post,” a source claimed. “Insiders say they had a bitter argument — he adored his mum, and this hit a nerve.”
A Sussex insider insists Meghan didn’t realize how close she was to the infamous tunnel when filming the video, but critics aren’t buying it. “It could be a big screw-you to the royal family,” one source said. “People are wondering if her true colors are finally showing.”
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams called the clip “utterly bewildering” and “beyond stupid.”
“She has every right to attend fashion events,” he said, “but to share something connected to Diana’s death was insensitive beyond belief.”
Prince William was also reportedly livid. “He went white with anger,” a source told entertainment columnist Rob Shuter. “That tunnel is sacred ground. For Meghan to treat it like a selfie backdrop was the ultimate insult.”
