The Jeffrey Epstein scandal is back in the spotlight, with a Republican lawmaker now claiming the FBI is sitting on a secret list of “at least 20” suspected Epstein clients.
Rep. Thomas Massie dropped the bombshell during a heated House Judiciary Committee hearing, insisting that witness statements and FBI evidence point to a hidden roster of powerful names across industries — including a Hollywood producer worth more than $100 million, a royal prince, a rock star, a magician, six billionaires, and even top politicians.
Massie accused the FBI of denying the list’s existence, pointing the finger at Director Kash Patel, who testified under oath that there is no credible evidence Epstein trafficked underage girls to anyone but himself. “We know these people exist in the FBI files, the files that you control,” Massie shot back.
Patel, meanwhile, blamed former federal prosecutor Alexander Acosta for what he called the “original sin” of the entire case — cutting Epstein a sweetheart plea deal in 2008 that gave him immunity from serious sex trafficking charges and even extended protection to co-conspirators.
Acosta, who resigned as Trump’s labor secretary in 2019 under renewed scrutiny, will face closed-door questioning before the House Oversight Committee for the first time since stepping down. The disgraced former prosecutor has rarely spoken about the Epstein deal, but the Justice Department’s own 2020 review blasted his “poor judgment.”
That infamous deal let Epstein plead guilty only to solicitation charges, serving just 13 months in jail, much of it on a cushy “work release.” Critics say the immunity provisions effectively buried evidence of a wider network of wealthy, powerful men who may have been tied to Epstein’s sex crimes.
Years later, the so-called “client list” remains a fiercely guarded secret. With congressional pressure now ramping up and Acosta back under questioning, it could be the closest the public has come in years to learning the names Epstein fought so hard to protect.
