Prince Andrew is once again in the hot seat as calls intensify for him to testify publicly about his longstanding ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The renewed pressure comes in the wake of a growing scandal surrounding President Donald Trump’s past association with the late financier.

Renowned attorney Gloria Allred, who represents several Epstein victims, is leading the charge. She’s demanding that the Duke of York stop hiding behind silence and instead face questioning before the U.S. Congress.

“He can volunteer to testify,” Allred said in a recent statement. “His silence is a statement that he’s not willing to help.”

The 65-year-old royal has faced years of scrutiny over his friendship with Epstein and accusations made by Virginia Giuffre, who alleges that Andrew sexually abused her when she was just 17. Andrew has always denied the claims and insists he never met her—despite that now-infamous photo showing the two together alongside Ghislaine Maxwell.

In 2022, he reached a multi-million-pound settlement with Giuffre to avoid trial, though he admitted no wrongdoing. At the time, a statement from his team claimed he would show “regret for his association with Epstein” by helping fight sex trafficking. But critics say that promise remains unfulfilled.

Allred isn’t buying it. “I called on Andrew to speak to the FBI,” she said. “Is he willing to testify before Congress? Is he willing to give more information to the Justice Department? And if not, why not?”

Although Andrew can’t be subpoenaed as a foreign national, Allred insists that shouldn’t stop him from cooperating. “He could testify remotely. His name might be in U.S. government files related to Epstein, and those files should be released.”

The scandal continues to haunt high-profile figures. Epstein’s former girlfriend and accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, is currently serving a 20-year sentence for helping him sexually exploit underage girls. Meanwhile, Donald Trump’s own ties to Epstein have drawn renewed attention, adding more fuel to the public’s demand for transparency.

Social media users have joined the chorus. “If he was really innocent, why not just tell the truth?” one person tweeted. Others echoed similar sentiments, blasting the royal family for what they see as stonewalling.

As pressure builds from both political parties in the U.S., Prince Andrew’s once-private scandal may soon become a very public reckoning.
