It was reality TV history in the making this week as chaos erupted on Bravo’s “Below Deck”—and not even a luxury superyacht could keep the drama at bay.
What started as a lavish four-day Caribbean charter quickly devolved into madness when guest Kelly Furey boarded the St. David with her crew of friends. Witnesses say Furey barely made it up the gangway before the champagne began to flow—and so did the trouble.
“She must have been hitting the bottle before she even got out of the taxi,” quipped one crew member, shaking their head in disbelief. “We’ve seen wild guests, but this was next-level.”
Dinner was served, but Furey skipped the food and doubled down on the booze. When a friend tried to encourage moderation, Furey was defiant. “I’m ready for Jack Daniels,” she shot back, swatting away any hint of reason.
Captain Kerry Titheradge, a veteran mariner with a reputation for running a tight ship, quickly took notice. “We have a responsibility for every guest’s safety,” Titheradge told producers. “But when someone’s out of control, you’ve got to step in. No exceptions.”
As the night wore on, things took a dangerous turn. Ignoring the captain’s orders, Furey stormed off and attempted to leap into the water. When told to put on a life vest for her own safety, she refused—then hurled herself overboard anyway.
Returning to the deck, Furey’s tirade hit full throttle. “I don’t care about your stupid yacht!” she screamed at the captain. “You can’t tell me what to do!” The crew scrambled to contain the scene, but Furey’s rage only grew.
That’s when the political fireworks started.
“They’re a——s! F—ing a——s! They’re f—ing Democrats—Democrats! Democrats!” Furey shouted, turning her drunken rant into a bizarre political spectacle. According to one stunned crew member, “She just started screaming about Democrats. It was surreal. No one knew what set her off.”
In a last-ditch effort to regain order, Captain Kerry issued an ultimatum: obey the rules or face the authorities. Furey, undeterred, doubled down, claiming she had “ties to the FBI.” The outburst left even seasoned reality TV viewers slack-jawed.
The situation spiraled so far out of control, producers were forced to call local police—the first time in the franchise’s history authorities were summoned to remove a guest. Officers arrived and escorted Furey off the vessel, officially making her the most infamous guest in “Below Deck” history.
Social media lit up with reactions, as clips of Furey’s outburst went viral. Conservative commentator Joe Landon posted, “Can’t say I’m surprised she blamed the crew for being Democrats. This is what happens when the left’s entitlement culture seeps into every corner of society—even luxury yachts.”

Others were less amused. “It’s a new low for reality TV,” wrote longtime viewer Stephanie Brooks. “But at least Captain Kerry did the right thing—no one should have to put up with that level of disrespect.”
The incident marks a stunning moment not just for “Below Deck,” but for reality television as a whole. As one crew member summed it up: “There’s drunk, and then there’s Kelly Furey drunk. And America just saw the difference.”
