Former Saturday Night Live star Bobby Moynihan is opening up about some of the wildest fan mail he’s ever received—and one chilling package that crossed the line.

While chatting on the Syd & Olivia Talk S— podcast, the longtime SNL cast member revealed that a fan once sent him an envelope filled with actual bullets. “I got an envelope full of bullets once at work,” Moynihan said. “It was just like an envelope with a drawing of one of my characters holding a machine gun… and then it had bullets in it. It was instantly taken from my hands.”

The character in question? Riblet—Michael Che’s chaotic high school buddy who frequently crashed Weekend Update. Moynihan described the fan art as an “amazing anime drawing” of Riblet firing a machine gun, but the added ammunition took things from quirky to disturbing fast.

It wasn’t the only strange interaction Moynihan had with fans. He explained that bizarre requests—especially those involving feet pics of other cast members—flooded his Facebook messages regularly. Eventually, the weirdness led him to delete the app from his phone.

When asked why he thought people felt comfortable sending such odd messages, Moynihan joked that he might just be too friendly. “I think I’m a people pleaser,” he said.

Though Riblet didn’t make an appearance at the SNL50 anniversary special, another of Moynihan’s iconic characters, Drunk Uncle, made a return to the Weekend Update desk—slurred rants and all.
