Leah Remini’s legal war with the Church of Scientology has reached a fever pitch, with the actress filing a blistering 133-page response to the church’s appeal, escalating her claims of harassment, threats, and psychological abuse.

Remini, who famously left Scientology in 2013 after 35 years in the organization, isn’t backing down. In her latest filing, obtained by RadarOnline.com, her attorneys accuse the church of launching a decades-long campaign of intimidation, including stalking, surveillance, online harassment, and even alleged murder plots.

Attorney Daniel Saunders described the church’s alleged actions as “nearly two decades of unrelenting psychological warfare,” accusing church officials of using private investigators, smear campaigns, and a relentless online assault in an effort to destroy Remini’s reputation and livelihood.

Remini originally sued the church in 2023, claiming that both she and her daughter were systematically harassed after cutting ties with Scientology. While a judge recently ruled that the lawsuit could move forward, some of her specific claims were dismissed — prompting both sides to appeal.

In the new court documents, Remini’s legal team paints a chilling picture of life after Scientology. They claim the church is determined to “silence her, destroy her credibility, and deter other whistleblowers” by targeting her employers and production teams behind her TV series and podcast.

The actress herself spoke out in a recent interview, saying, “It’s difficult to say it’s gotten easier when I have a multimillion-dollar organization terrorizing me and my family. I’m hunted. My daughter is followed. There is constant surveillance.”

She also claimed that Scientologists targeted her underage daughter online and used a term within the church that means “to kill me… to erase me from the face of the earth.” Her daughter Sofia, now in therapy, reportedly became so paranoid she believed her phone was tapped.

Saunders pointed to Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard’s own writings, which instructed followers to “ruin utterly” those labeled enemies of the church — particularly those who speak out against its practices.

Unsurprisingly, Scientology officials have fired back hard. In a statement to RadarOnline.com, a spokesperson for the church dismissed Remini’s claims as “false allegations” from an “embittered and unhinged has-been actress.”

“For over a decade, not a single shred of evidence has surfaced to support her claims,” the statement read. “Her latest false accusations are likewise made from whole cloth. Remini has amped up her jihad against Scientology because of the looming large attorney fee award she will owe the Church, as her frivolous lawsuit was all but gutted in court.”

Despite the church’s denials, Remini shows no signs of backing off. From bestselling books to her Emmy-winning docuseries and now a fierce legal battle, she remains one of the loudest voices taking on Scientology from the outside — and she’s determined to be heard.Tools
