In a chilling breach of presidential security, a 23-year-old man was arrested just after midnight Wednesday after scaling the perimeter wall of President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate — allegedly to “marry” the president’s teenage granddaughter and “spread the gospel” to the Trump family.
The intruder, identified as Anthony Thomas Reyes, was swiftly taken into custody by Secret Service agents stationed at the private Florida resort. According to law enforcement sources, Reyes admitted he deliberately entered the property hoping to meet Trump and propose to 18-year-old Kai Trump, the eldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr.
“This is the second time this same individual has attempted to access Mar-a-Lago. He’s not some harmless fan — this is a repeated security violation targeting a former president’s family,” one high-ranking federal law enforcement official told us on background.
Previous Incident on New Year’s Eve
This wasn’t Reyes’ first run-in with security. Records show he was stopped outside the estate on December 31st, 2024, during a high-security holiday event. At that time, he was detained but not federally charged.
This week’s breach, however, could carry far more serious consequences.
“Mar-a-Lago is under federal protection, and any unlawful entry is considered a violation of federal law,” a former Secret Service agent explained. “This wasn’t a prank. The suspect had a delusional mission involving a member of the Trump family.”
President Briefed, Kai’s Whereabouts Unknown
A spokesperson for the White House confirmed that President Trump, currently in Washington, D.C., was immediately briefed following the incident.
Kai Trump, a rising senior at the prestigious Benjamin School in Jupiter and an elite-level golfer, was not confirmed to be on the property during the incident. According to her recent Instagram posts, she returned to Florida days ago after a trip to the Bahamas and competed in a golf tournament in nearby Royal Palm Beach on Sunday — placing second overall.
Her growing fame, amplified by appearances with her grandfather at UFC events and last year’s Republican National Convention, has made her a high-profile public figure with nearly 2 million followers on Instagram.
At the 2024 RNC, Kai introduced her grandfather in a viral speech that won hearts nationwide. “To me, he’s just a normal grandpa,” she said. “He gives us candy and soda when our parents aren’t looking.”
Her protective father, Donald Trump Jr., didn’t hold back in an interview after her speech: “Get away, you little bastards, and stay away,” he joked when asked about Kai’s sudden rise in the public eye.
Charges and Investigation
Reyes was initially charged with trespassing under Florida law, but federal prosecutors are now reviewing the case. Given the location and the fact that a member of the First Family was potentially targeted, additional charges related to unlawful entry into a federally protected site may follow.
“While no harm was done this time, this is a serious red flag,” said a former FBI agent familiar with presidential security threats. “The obsessive nature of this individual, and the fact that he’s done this before, makes it a dangerous situation.”
Security Reinforced at Mar-a-Lago
Mar-a-Lago, one of the most tightly secured private residences in America, has Secret Service stationed 24/7 and requires all guests to pass through rigorous screening. Signs clearly warn against trespassing, and gates are monitored by armed agents.
Despite these precautions, this week’s breach raises fresh concerns about how fame — and the public visibility of the Trump family — is fueling dangerous obsessions.
The Secret Service has not yet commented publicly.

She needs to stay under the radar. She’s much too pretty.
She looks like she could pass for Mexican and is kinda bulky in the hips. This boy may be suffering from severe religion addiction mental illness. Likely couldn’t afford her.
