The Duchess of Sussex is discovering that fame has an expiration date—and in Meghan Markle’s case, it may have come sooner than she expected.

Once the toast of Hollywood, Markle is reportedly being “iced out” by the very same paparazzi who once trailed her every move. Now, those photographers say the former royal’s public image is so overmanaged—and so uninteresting—that they’ve stopped bothering to chase her altogether.

“She’s not worth the hassle,” longtime celebrity photographer Mark Karloff told TechReport. “It’s just not the payday it used to be. People don’t care like they used to.”

Once a Frenzy, Now a Flop

When Meghan and Prince Harry first landed in California in 2020, the celebrity media machine went into overdrive. Rumors swirled, cameras clicked, and every appearance was worth thousands. But behind the scenes, a different picture was emerging.

“At first, it was chaos,” Karloff said. “Everyone wanted to know where they were staying, where they’d be seen, what events they were going to. But then it turned into this game of cat and mouse—except they were controlling the cat.”

According to Karloff and other photographers in Los Angeles, Markle tried to micromanage her image, often coordinating so-called ‘candids’ with pre-approved photographers and setting up carefully curated charity shots. The result? A disillusioned press corps that felt used and excluded.

“She was doing setups. You could tell it wasn’t real,” Karloff added. “It became frustrating, and frankly, not worth the time.”

Hollywood’s Cold Shoulder

For a couple who once claimed they wanted privacy, Harry and Meghan have done little to stay out of the spotlight—yet now that attention seems to be fading fast.

In recent months, the Duchess has made a highly publicized return to lifestyle branding, launching a series of curated blog posts covering everything from holiday crafts to makeup tips. But instead of praise, the rollout sparked online mockery, with critics calling it “tone-deaf” and “inauthentic.”

Even her efforts to drop sweet nods to her children, Archie and Lilibet, in recent Easter content couldn’t shift the narrative.

“Meghan wants total control,” said one media insider. “But Hollywood doesn’t like being controlled. And when you take away the chase, the mystery, the payoff—what’s left? Just another influencer pushing organic carrot recipes.”

The Final Blow? A Brutal Four-Word Burn

Perhaps the most damning moment came recently when a paparazzo was heard muttering just four words as he brushed off Markle’s latest outing: “No one cares anymore.”

The remark has quickly made the rounds in tabloid circles—and it may sum up exactly how far the Duchess has fallen from grace in celebrity-obsessed America.

As the glitz of Montecito grows dimmer, and the red carpets roll on without them, some wonder if Meghan and Harry have finally run out of magic.

“They can’t hide forever,” Karloff said. “But the truth is, no one’s looking anymore.”

  1. It’s taken the press and Hollyweird all this time to discover that the Shew and Harry are fake? OMG, where in the heck were they when everyone who has a brain could see that she just wanted attention and Harry did everything that she told him to do. If they though that they could “get back” at the RF, boy they were barking up the wrong tree!

She’s ghosted everyone who “helped” her in the past and now SHE’S the one getting ghosted/IGNORED now…

So now perhaps they will FINALLY get the “peace and quiet” they SUPPOSEDLY came to America for…LOL!
