“Fit. Focused. Ready to lead.” That’s the message coming out of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after President Donald Trump, now in his second term, completed his annual physical exam on Friday—and passed with flying colors.
The official memo, released Sunday by Trump’s personal physician, Captain Sean Barbabella, described the 45th and 47th President as being in “excellent health” with “robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and physical function.”
“President Trump exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief,” Barbabella wrote.
TRUMP’S HEALTH: THE NUMBERS TELL THE STORY
According to the medical report, Trump is standing tall at 6-foot-3 and weighs in at 224 pounds—20 pounds lighter than his last recorded weight in 2020. His resting heart rate was a steady 62 beats per minute, and his blood pressure was a healthy 128/74.
Even more impressive: Trump scored a perfect 30 out of 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), a test he has proudly referenced for years while challenging political rivals like Joe Biden to do the same.
“I got every answer right,” Trump told reporters on Friday. “I took just a lot of different tests—heart, brain, everything. I think you’ll find the report very good. I wanted to be a little different than Biden—I took a cognitive test.”
Trump also passed screenings for depression and anxiety and showed zero neurological issues. The report notes that Trump continues taking rosuvastatin and ezetimibe to manage cholesterol, aspirin for heart health, and a topical cream for a minor skin condition.
A CONTRAST TO BIDEN—AND TRUMP KNOWS IT
The former president has repeatedly slammed Joe Biden’s mental fitness, making age and sharpness a key talking point throughout the 2024 campaign. While both men are pushing 80, only one is publicly proving he can handle the job—according to Trump and his supporters.
“I think the American people want to see that their President is sharp,” Trump said. “I’ve proven that. Repeatedly.”
During Biden’s presidency, Trump relentlessly pushed him to take a cognitive exam—something Biden never publicly committed to. Trump’s latest results only reinforce that narrative for MAGA loyalists.
REPUBLICAN LEADERS PRAISE TRUMP’S VITALITY
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene took to X (formerly Twitter) to cheer the results.
“President Trump is in fantastic shape and is sharp as a tack!” she wrote. “House Reps and Senators should also be required to get annual physicals—and the results should be made public!”
Meanwhile, Trump supporters online are already buzzing with memes and hashtags like #FitForDuty and #StrongerThanEver—a clear signal that the former president’s health is being used as both a rallying cry and a not-so-subtle dig at Democrats.
A RETURN TO TRUMP FORM
After a rocky end to his first term—where critics pounced on reports of obesity and high blood pressure—Trump’s comeback in the health department is just one more sign of his renewed dominance.
And it’s not just press briefings and rallies that keep him active. According to the memo, Trump maintains a rigorous schedule of meetings, speeches, press appearances, and—of course—his beloved golf.
