It was supposed to be a routine live hit from the White House. Instead, Peter Doocy found himself under surprise attack — from the skies.

The Fox News White House correspondent was mid-sentence during a Friday morning segment on Fox & Friends when a rogue bird swooped into the frame and landed squarely on his head, stunning viewers and hosts alike.

“A bird just landed on my head!” Doocy shouted, jerking out of the shot as his eyes darted wildly. The uninvited guest had taken off just as quickly as it arrived, but not before ruffling the hair — and nerves — of the famously composed reporter.

Back in the studio, hosts Ainsley Earhardt, Lawrence Jones, and Brian Kilmeade couldn’t contain their laughter. “That’s probably so … dirty,” Doocy muttered, attempting to regain his composure while brushing himself off. Kilmeade joked, “The hair on the back of your head is standing up. What’s going on?”

Doocy, ever the good sport, laughed it off. But let’s be honest — you don’t see this kind of thing happening to the liberal media.

The bird’s cameo lasted only a moment, but the clip quickly began circulating online, with fans praising Doocy for staying cool under pressure — even when nature came calling.

One user on X (formerly Twitter) joked, “That bird must’ve thought Peter was the real nest of truth in that swamp.” Another quipped, “Even the birds want to be part of Fox & Friends now.”

Doocy, the son of longtime Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy, has carved out his own path at Fox News, earning a reputation as one of the few correspondents willing to ask tough, unfiltered questions of the Biden administration. He’s been praised by many conservatives for holding the White House accountable when others fall in line.

During President Biden’s term, Doocy repeatedly made headlines by challenging Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and President Biden himself — sometimes getting brushed off, other times making waves.

As one viewer posted, “A bird might’ve landed on his head, but Peter Doocy still has more backbone than the entire corporate press corps.”

No comment yet from the White House — or the bird.

  1. The bird that \”attacked\” looks to me a mourning dove.

  2. The bird was a Republican, no doubt about it…my guess is, it was trying to escape the Swamp!

  3. Yes, the bird was a mourning dove: A sign of peace! Peter should be very pleased to be picked as the messenger of peace!
